Itinerary – Day Trip To Agra

     
 DAY 01   26th Feb,2011: Sunday  Delhi / Agra / Delhi.
     
0630 Hrs : Wakeup call.
     
0700 Hrs : Breakfast.
     
0730 Hrs : Drive to Agra (205 kms, 04 hrs drive).
     
1200 Hrs : Arrive Agra and proceed to Sightseeing tour of Agra - Once a capital of the Mughals, today it is famous for its world famous “dream in marble” - the Taj Mahal. Built by Mughul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his favorite Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains is a monument to love.
     
1400 Hrs : Lunch at Wyndham Grand or similar hotel.
     
1500 Hrs : After Lunch proceed to Visit the Agra Fort, build over the Mughal period (each emperor adding to it), see various palaces and the Halls of Public and Private Audience.
     
After sightseeing tour drive back to Delhi.
     
1900 Hrs : Arrive Delhi. For those who are travelling back on International flights will be dropped at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in time for their flight.
     

OPTION – 02:- 26th – 28th Feb, 2012: (03 Days Delhi / Agra/ Jaipur)

Minimum 10 Paying Pax = USD 446 per person,    Single room supplement = USD 158 per room

Agra – Jaypee Palace or similar – 01 night

Jaipur – Le Meridien or similar - 01 night

THE ABOVE COST INCLUDES:-

  • 02 night accommodation on twin sharing room on half board basis at the hotel.
  • Lunch at any 05 star hotel in Agra and Jaipur.

DAY 02 : 27th Feb, 2012: Monday: Agra / Jaipur
     
 0630 Hrs : Wakeup call.
     
 0700 Hrs : Breakfast.
     
0730 Hrs : Drive to Jaipur (235 Kms, 05 hrs drive).
     
1230 Hrs : Arrive Jaipur. Assistance upon arrival and check-in at the hotel.
     
1330 Hrs : Lunch at Rajputana Sheraton or similar hotel.
     
1430 Hrs : Proceed to sightseeing tour of Jaipur which is also known as the Pink City, it was built with Hindu rules of town planning. Pink being the traditional colour of welcome, the city was steeped in it in 1853 in honour of Prince Albert’s visit and the colour is still used. The important sights include a visit to the City Palace, part of it is the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and part of it is converted into a museum. The museum has an excellent collection of miniature paintings, manuscripts etc; its Textile & Costume and armoury section are also worth a look. Nearby is the Observatory, Jantar Mantar, built by Raja Jai Singh in mid 18th century with various instruments for specific functions and accurate readings. Drive through the “Pink City” and past the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey building, famous for its elaborate facade with about 1000 windows to enable the ladies of the court to view the passing processions.
     
2000 Hrs : Dinner at the hotel. Overnight.
     
DAY 03   28th Feb, 2012: Tuesday: Jaipur / Delhi.
     
0730 Hrs : Wakeup call.
     
0800 Hrs :

Breakfast.

     
0830 Hrs : Check-out from the hotel and proceed to sightseeing tour of Amber Fort - Situated about 11 kms from Jaipur, it was the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Ascend the hill on elephant back on which the fort is situated (If elephants are not available then jeeps will be provided as alternate). Visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of mirrors), Jai Mahal and other palaces within the fort.
     
1200 Hrs : Lunch at Le Meridien or similar.
     
1300 Hrs : After Lunch drive to Delhi (260 kms, 06 hrs drive).
     
1900 Hrs : Arrive Delhi. For those who are travelling back on International flights will be dropped at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in time for their flight.
